Haro offers several places to go and taste Rioja wines and gastronomy of high quality.
The Haro gastronomy is very wide, using high quality raw materials ,selected of the local markets. It emphasizes the traditional cuisine, without forgetting some innovations the new restorations. Also there is a good number of dishes, , desserts and aperitifs that are part of the Rioja gastronomy: peppers with garlic, roast blood sausage and chorizo, mixed vegetables, broad beans, potatoes with chorizo, beans with quail, stuffed peppers, roast lamb chop on vine shoot, meat with peppers, onions…offal, patorrillo… these are some of the delicatessen offered in this cuisine, among other many. Among the desserts, we can find peach and pears in wine, which is a very simple dish but also very valuated , and homemade food as custards, rice pudding, etc. It is also typical torrijas in Carnival, mulled wine in Holy Week. Snails, codfish and fillet sticks with peppers are also typical dishes to taste in June.
