It is dedicated to Haro's Patron Saint, traditionally it is said that the basilica exits since the Virgin's apparition, around X century, it is placed in the meadow, outside of the villa. This primitive building was expanded several times.
The building that we know at present is of baroque style, of three naves, covered with groin vault on round arches and cruciform pilasters. It was begun in 1703 according to project of Bernardo de Munilla and Juan de Villanueva, and it was carried out by Pedro Orcaechea, Ignacio Escurra and Pedro de Elejalde. The front in round arch has images of San Pedro and San Paul finished off in belfry. In the interior, it stands out of the major altar of baroque style with the image of the Virgin of the Vega, Gothic of the century XIV stands out. In the Sacristy, there are baroque linens of tenebrist style.
